Program Overview
Participants will enhance their skiing techniques in areas such as carving, moguls, and powder skiing. Additionally, they will receive training in teaching methods and class management skills, which are essential for a successful career as an instructor. Through the internships, participants gain valuable hands-on experience by volunteering during ski lessons, where they practice assisting students, providing demonstrations and explanations, and managing the class environment.

Program Schedule & Details
Starting the weekend of January 4-5, participants will complete two intensive days of training before transitioning into our 10-week Weekend Program. From January 12 to March 16, junior instructors will gain hands-on experience working alongside our Sunday instructors with children aged 3-12 in the mornings. In the afternoons, they will continue their development through additional training sessions led by our Certified Level 3 Instructors.
January 4 & 5: Training
- 9am - 11:30am: Training
- 11:30am - 12:30pm: Lunch (not included)
- 12:30pm - 3:00pm: Training
January 12 - March 16: Internship
- Every Sunday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
- 8:45am - 12:00pm: Internship in Lessons
- 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch (not included)
- 1:00pm - 3:30pm: Training
Recommended Ability Level: Intermediate to Advanced, Minimum Level 4
- Skiers: “I can ski parallel on green and blue runs. I want to learn how to ski more terrain like; beginner bumps, open trees, steep blue runs, and maybe some blacks!”
Additional Notes:
- The Junior Instructor Program requires a minimum of 3 participants to operate.
- Lift Tickets are not included.
- Participants aged 14-15 wanting to do the Level 1 exam in March 2025 are eligible for a 25% discount.
