Bootfitting
At Critical Parts, our expert bootfitters provide full-service bootfitting for skiers and snowboarders, including custom Sidas footbeds, heat molding, shell punching, and grinding to achieve the perfect fit. With convenient ski-in, ski-out access, you can even pop in during your ski day, and we'll do our best to get you back on the slopes in comfort.

GETTING FITTED
Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, your boots have to be 'just right'!
Your Feet
We'll measure your feet without socks, checking length, width, instep, and arch height, while also assessing how your leg integrates with your foot. Please stand in a comfortable athletic stance and flex your knees with your feet straight ahead. After sizing, we’ll recommend the right socks to enhance breathability, comfort, warmth, and performance during your skiing experience.
The Shell
While we can't change the length of your boot, we can adjust the shells based on how your feet fit into the boot. To find the perfect fit, we use our custom shell oven to punch, grind and mold the shell as needed. Areas that are too tight can be ground down or punched out to create more space without compromising the boot's integrity.
Custom Insoles
Our Sidas ski and snowboard insoles offer exceptional comfort on the slopes. Using a specialized grinding machine or hand tools, the bootfitter will carefully grind down or trim the insoles. This may include removing material from the heel, arch, or forefoot to ensure a snug fit.
Alignment
While not everyone needs adjustments, most boot fittings benefit from fine-tuning. If your legs don’t connect well with your boots, your skis won’t perform as they should. Using techniques like canting and tools like wedges, we’ll ensure you’re prepared for what the mountain brings.
