Resort Sales Associate

Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Sotheby’s International Realty and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing are looking for a Sales Associate to work at our downtown sales location. The primary role of the Resort Sales Associate is to generate new sales in all aspects of the resort, while assisting walk-in guests and answering sales related phone calls and emails.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell all aspects of the Resort
  • Track and follow up with sales leads in a timely manner
  • Prospecting, cold calling and developing new business
  • Greet and assist all walk-in guests
  • Answer guest inquiries in all aspects to RMR’s operation and the town of Revelstoke
  • Deal with complaints and resolve any issues that arise in regards to all aspects of RMR’s operation
  • Daily retail inventory tracking and presentation
  • Create and maintain an exceptional location presentation/image
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure Resort standards are met

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience
  • Excellent prospecting and qualifying skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience in the ski industry/tourism is an asset

Lift Operations Supervisor

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is currently recruiting for a year-round, full-time Lift Operations Supervisor. This is a salaried position that will start on October 1, 2010. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and lead the Lift Operations team
  • Schedule and supervise lift operators/attendants
  • Ensure the safe operation of all lifts
  • Develop and maintain department standards of conduct
  • Create and maintain a postive work environment
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure open lines of communication

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Education
  • CWSAA Train the Trainer
  • Minimum of four years lift operations/supervisory experience
  • Well versed in the BC Safety Authority Z98 Code
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mature, friendly and well groomed
  • Attention to detail

Snow School Professional - Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal

The Revelstoke Outdoors Centre or the ROC is looking for a handful of specialized Pros to complete its Snow School roster for the 2010/2011 season and beyond. As there are very few positions to be filled we are looking for Pros that are dual certified with a primary emphasis on Ski Instruction and applicants that speak multiple languages.

Overview of the Position

Snow School Pros are responsible for teaching people of all ages to improve their skills and abilities on the hill. A priority is put on providing excellent customer service to all guests and other resort employees. A Pro’s goal is to enhance the experience of everyone they meet and to ensure good memories that promote return visits. All Pros will be encouraged to be dual certified and increase their level of certification.

Minimum Education, Experience and Requirements:

  • CSIA and CASI Level 1 or equivalent
  • Enjoy working with people
  • Ability to teach both children and adults
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Bondable
  • Comply with company and department grooming standards
  • There will be other tasks asked of you other then teaching

Rental Technicians

Rental Technicians are responsible for fitting guests with the appropriate equipment for their needs. This team is customer focused and plays a key role in creating a memorable experience for their guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prepare all equipment rentals following all applicable safety protocol
  • Ensuring the guest accurately completes the rental form
  • Proper fitting of rental equipment for the guests’ skill level
  • Check rental equipment for damage when returned

Repair Technicians

Repair Technicians are responsible for repairing and tuning the rental fleet and guest equipment as well as helping out in the rental shop with equipment selection and binding adjustments.

Retail Cashiers are responsible for assisting customers with products and purchases. This team is friendly and fun, with a passion for ski/board fashion and merchandise.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory, sell and display sports gear and logo wear

Guest Service Agents

Guest Service Agents are responsible for providing guests with outstanding customer service and a positive guest experience. This team is customer focused and assist's guests with selling lift ticket products and answering questions regarding all other areas of the Resort. This team is also responsible for ticket checking and validating tickets and season passes to prevent fraud.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
  • Sell lift tickets, passes, and any other Resort products
  • Provide the guest with general Resort and town information
  • Manage Lost and Found articles
  • Daily Cashouts
  • Ticket checking
  • Ticket and Pass fraud control

The Ground Crew is responsible for organizing parking lot set up and presentation, directing traffic to parking areas, assisting guests with parking, snow removal and general property maintenance. This team is well organized and has a passion for the outdoors.

Lift Attendants/Operators are responsible for the safe loading and unloading of guests and the efficient operation of the lift. This team has a key role in exceeding guest service expectations, by creating a friendly and positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and take down/maintenance of lift line equipment such as ramps, mazes and signs
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading
  • Ensure the safe operation lifts
  • Assist with organizing guests efficiently onto the lift
