How to Dress
Dress in layers.
Wear a thermal base layer.
Outer layers should be well insulated and protect you from both water and wind.
Do not wear jeans!
Wool and polyester/fleece blends are warmer and drier than cotton.
Socks should be a wool/polyester blend and not be too bulky.
Only wear one pair of socks.
Wear a helmet or warm hat to keep your head warm.
Gloves or mittens are important. A nylon or leather outer shell will help keep your hands dry and warm.
Goggles are your best bet to protect your eyes, but a good pair of sunglasses will do on a sunny day.
Protect yourself from the sun with sun screen in the spring when the temperatures rise.
